The Savannah region is a boater's paradise with 420 miles of navigable waters dissecting 87,000 acres of tidal marshlands. Grayson Stadium, built in 1941, is one of the gems of minor league parks in the south, and legendary athletes who have played at this ball field include Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron, and Shoeless Joe Jackson.
