Savannah has it all - from elegant historic inns to marshland settings with dress codes so casual, you can go barefoot. Southern home cooking practically started here, and our seafood couldn't be fresher.

What you might not expect, though, are the special places that gourmets around the world place on their lists of culinary "must-tastes." Both Mrs. Wilkes' Dining Room and Elizabeth on 37th are listed among global destinations in the travel guide, 1000 Places to See Before You Die.

In recent years, a host of hip establishments with sophisticated cuisine have blossomed in our city as well. And, we would be remiss if we didn't mention Paula Deen of The Lady and Sons whose spin on southern cuisine has been both published and televised nationally.
