In addition to those programs and incentives available to all business owners within Savannah/Chatham County, the Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC) offers access to several incentives and programs designed specifically to assist minority owned businesses.

  • Savannah Regional Small Business Capital Fund
  • City of Savannah Business Loan Guranty Program
  • City of Savannah Direct Loan Program
  • Contractor/Vendor Working Capital Program

There are several minority focused programs designed to help minority owned companies thrive, as well.
  • Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC) is a corporate member-based organization that fosters and expands economic opportunities bewteen minority owned businesses, corporations and government entities within the state of Georgia.
  • Georgia Minority Business Enterprise Center (GMBEC) helps facilitate growth, global marketplace connections, and business success.
  • City of Savannah Minority/Women Business Enterprises (MWBE) provides the maximum services to increase the number of Minority/Women Business Enterprises in Savannah, assisting them with growing and sustaining successful businesses, and increasing their participation in the City of Savannah’s procurement process.
  • The Office of Minority Business Development (OMBD) identifies procurement opportunities, locates sources of capital and supports outreach efforts of minority business people in the state of Georgia.
  • SBA 8(a) Business Development Program promotes equal access for certified companies, owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, to participate in the business sector of the nation's economy.
